On November 7-9, 2024, 2024 APEC Training Workshop on Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) was held in Xiamen, China. It was conducted by APEC Marine Sustainable Development Center and Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, China. More than 50 representatives from Chile, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Chinese Taipei,Thailand and Viet Nam; and from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom and IOC-UNESCO.

Through the reports, case study sharing, small group discussions and field trip in 3 days, the training workshop continued to provide a platform for exchanging and sharing the best practices or the progress on MSP in the APEC region and enhanced the capacity building for all stakeholders during the MSP process and contribute to MSP in APEC for a sustainable planet.
